Nice Airport to Antibes: route, travel time and where to stay
Antibes is one of the closest destinations to Nice Airport. A walled old town, a yacht harbour, the beaches of Juan-les-Pins, the villas of the Cap: the journey is short, but it helps to know where you are going. Here are our pointers.

01 · The road
Motorway or coast road?
Two routes link the airport with Antibes.
By the A8 motorway
This is the fastest. You leave the airport heading west, cross the River Var, and a few exits later drop down towards Antibes. It is a toll road and little affected by traffic lights and roundabouts.
By the coast road
It follows the beach through Cagnes-sur-Mer and Villeneuve-Loubet, with the sea on one side and the hills on the other. It is a lovely introduction, but slower, especially on summer weekends.
02 · Travel time
How long does it take?
In normal conditions: allow 20 to 30 minutes between the airport and the centre of Antibes.
At rush hour: plan for 35 to 45 minutes.
In July and August: reaching Juan-les-Pins and the Cap d’Antibes can take noticeably longer late in the day.
These times are estimates. For a flight, we work out the departure time with you when you book.
03 · Your address
Old town, Juan-les-Pins or Cap d’Antibes
“Antibes” actually covers three very different areas, and the exact address changes the journey.
- The old town and Port Vauban: narrow lanes and pedestrian zones. Your chauffeur drops you as close as possible and points out the way on foot if needed.
- Juan-les-Pins: beaches, pine grove and nightlife. The streets are very busy on summer evenings.
- The Cap d’Antibes: villas and grand hotels at the tip of the peninsula. Access is by small roads; give us the name of the residence or hotel.
If you are joining a yacht, tell us the name of the quay: the harbour is large.
04 · Our tips
Planning your transfer
- Give the full address, and an access code if there is a gate.
- For an evening in Juan-les-Pins, book the return as well: available cars are scarce late at night.
- For families or lots of luggage, the V-Class carries up to seven passengers.
All the details are on our Nice Airport to Antibes transfer page.
Before you go
What to see in Antibes once you arrive
Official information (times, access, programme) is published on the Antibes Juan-les-Pins website. We recommend checking it a few days before you travel, as details can change.
The tourist office lists the sights, beaches and events there, including the Jazz à Juan festival in July.
If you only have a few hours in Antibes, focus on the old town: the ramparts facing the sea, the Provençal market, the Picasso Museum in the Grimaldi castle, then Port Vauban and its superyachts. With more time, the coastal path runs around the Cap d’Antibes, and the beaches of Juan-les-Pins are a few minutes away.
Many of our clients use a stopover or a free day to discover the town from Nice or Cannes. In that case, a chauffeur at your disposal is simpler than two separate journeys: he drops you near the ramparts and collects you at the agreed time.
Booking your chauffeur in practice
Whatever your journey, booking follows the same steps.
- You tell us your journey. Pick-up address, destination, date, time, number of passengers and bags: the online booking form shows the price before you confirm anything.
- You choose your vehicle. Mercedes E-Class or S-Class saloon for up to three passengers, V-Class for up to seven.
- You receive a confirmation. It sums up your journey and the pick-up time.
- Your chauffeur is waiting. At the airport, he follows your flight and waiting time is included for up to one hour after landing.
Payment is by card online or in cash. Cancellation is free of charge more than 48 hours before departure. For a special request, a group or a chauffeur at your disposal, write to us: we reply with a quote.
